Project Violet began in the Spring of 2008 when Gerardo and Ali met to discuss music over a couple of beers. Gerardo is an active film composer living in Los Angeles and Ali has been an active singer and performing musician in California, they decided to pool their talents to create and record music combining their diverse musical backgrounds and ideas.??Project Violet seeks to mix eclectic sounds, electronic textures and melodious lyrics with the traditional rock line up to create songs that tell a story through words and musical texture. Project Violet released an EP titled Deadly Sins in the Spring of 2010 featuring four songs. Deadly Sins is the first recording effort by Project Violet, but it will likely not be the last.Have you performed in front of an audience?Only when desperate for money. Project Violet is primarily a studio band combining the passions and talents of Gerardo Giusti and Ali Field along with the musical skills of some great California session players who drop by Gerardo's studio and record music every now and then. Ultimately, Project Violet is all about the music we record and the fun we have in the process.

We are a band featuring the classic rock line up: a great singer, kick ass drummer, solid bass and melodious guitars. Gerardo is addicted to gear, so we also incorporate a lot of electronics and cool sonorities in our songs and arrangements.Anything else?
