If you are lifted and inspired by gospel music then you will love the offerings of singer/songwriter - Professor Doug Leacock. His writing spans from the gamut from a warm ballad to the hand clapping and toe tapping gospel performance. He is also contemporary in sound with a dash of r&b and pop in his music!
Why this name?
I was given the title of "Professor" several years ago by my senior pastor and it has stuck ever since!!
Do you play live?
I play "live" at Greater Travelers Rest Baptist Church in Decatur, GA. (services aired on local Atlanta TV station WATC 57 & The Word Network nationally) I'm also on the music staff of West End SDA Church ~ services can be viewed on http://www.churchpond.com.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The Internet opens up the window to a diverse, instant worldwide audience! The medium opens up a wide range of opportunities for the unsigned artist and/or songwriter.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes I would sign if it would be a positive move furthering my music career.
