The band name was decided on by all the members one night while spending some quality time with their old friends Jack Daniels, and Mary Jane.

PICASSO OF MESS have perfromed all over the province of Ontario over the years. Toronto, London, Windsor to name a few locations. Hundreds of shows played have helped the band form a die hard following of the metal scenes most intense fans.

PICASSO OF MESS formed back in 98 and in that first year released their debut album entitled LEVEL SEVEN. That album got amazing reviews by such metal zines as BRAVE WORDS AND BLOODY KNUCKLES, and UNRESTRAINED!. The album sold out of 5,000 copies with the help of distribution from such labels as SONIC UNYON and ENTARTETE KUNST RECORDS. In 2001 PICASSO OF MESS went to Toronto to work with renowned producer Rob Sanzo (shallow north dakota, voivod, scratching post) at his studio SIGNAL 2 NOIZE. That same year the album SURFACE TO AIR was released and it blew up the canadian metal underground. SURFACE TO AIR went to number one on numerous college and university radio stations accross north America. Extensive touring in support of the album helped PICASSO OF MESS to expand on their already massive fan base. Now the band find themselves in the year 2005 and things couldnt look brighter for this heavy outfit. The band has just finished recording their new album entitled "BloOd cELLS." and are pumped up and ready for it's release. This album was recorded in London at MOLE studios with producer Rainer Weichmann and is the most professional heavy piece of work the band has ever done previously. PICASSO OF MESS have very diverse influences throughout their music. Traces of Deftones, Sepultura, and System Of a Down can be found throughout the music, but the listener may also hear influences such as The Clash, Ramones and nirvana, and even reggae seeping through their speakers.
