I've been playing Jazz guitar since about 1977. My influences are many, I suppose my one "Desert Island"
record would be the Ed Bickert/Don Thompson
record on Sackville (recently reissued on CD).Have you performed in front of an audience?Only around Bloomington Indiana these days.
some guys I have played with include Jonas Oglesbee, Jesse Wittman, Ben Himpel, Mike Eaton, Alex Beltran, Zach Lapidus, Mike Epstein, Kyle Quass, Jesse Nolan, Gustavo Bugni, Jeremy Allen, Mike Eaton, Morgan Price, Chad Kethcart, Chris Ozer. These guys are/were jazz students at IU's school of music.
I've shared the stage with Art Farmer, Ricky Ford,
Hilton Ruiz, Josh Roseman, Jim Pugh, Mevin Rhyne,
David Baker, Jack Wilkins, John Stowell, Peter Bernstein, and even Ornette Coleman once. These were mostly in college jazz band situations, and as special as these moments were for me, I doubt any of these guys (except Baker) remember me.
I've got a few videos up on youtube
http://www.youtube.com/TopologyPaul
including a couple of clips with the (X)-tet: Mike Eaton, Morgan Price, Jeremy Allen, Chris Ozer, and Dave Scalia.
