Pat Carr was born in Louisiana and musically raised on the streets of the French Quarter. He grew up listening to Southern soul and R&B, rock, country, and jazz, and fell in love with the Blues. Early training included piano, guitar, and singing in church choirs. He also plays bass and mandolin, and plays all instruments on many of his recordings.
Pat has played in folk, rock, R&B, blues, bluegrass and worship bands in the New Orleans and Denver areas.
His CD “Put Yourself In My Place” is a collection as diverse as the influences that inspired the songs: from the gospel blues of Blind Willie Johnson to New Orleans soul; from Delta blues and hard-edged Texas blues to bluegrass and country.
