"Suicide Superstar" is the first Pardaig song sung in English. So now we got songs in French, German and also English... I sing like crap in all langages, hehe!!! And maybe someday Romanian, cause this the next one I'll learn.

Pardaig account destroyed on mp3.de
The kind folks at this website have removed altogether the Pardaig account that took me hours to create. Some new songs were loaded, etc. and a couple of days later everything was removed... Without any notice. Here's the last mail I sent them :
"So you destroyed my account without even giving a notice or reason why ?
So it is indeed true, that you guys are still a bit fascists, he ?

New song, Ehre (Honour), available in streaming. Now classified as Gothic Rock, seems closer to the direction I'm going into. Opera, Dark Rock merge.

New material february 2004. Less experimental stuff, maybe ? Like "Tristesse", which is not very "mental", but more of a sad mood basically... I plan on having less aggressive, terrorism-themed songs in the future, rather leaning more towards the psychological, if you get what I mean...

New material november 2003. More agressive/Industrial-influenced tracks, with serial killer samples, etc. But still som very melodic sections.

Pardaig is a project I started after years of playing Rock/Metal music. I got more interested in electronic forms of sonic art. Basically I wanted to create a sound incorporating both Industrial/Hardcore influences with Ambient and Classical aspects. It’s pretty much what you get, it ain’t for everyone I guess, but if you are looking for electronic music trying to push the envelope you could like it.

Why this name?
I had once a great deal of interest in Scandinavian mythology, and someone told me the ancestral version of my actual name was Pardaig in the Viking era. But maybe she messed up, because it seems it is Padraig (like Patrick…). But whatever, I like Pardaig better, sounds good to me, and it is kind of original, I guess.
Do you play live?
Haven't played live any of this stuff.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Piracy is kind of annoying, but at the same time, some small bands have a chance of getting known with this medium, which is great. If the record industry would not be so greedy, things would not lead to so much piracy.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I don't think they would consider my stuff mass-market anyways.
Band History:
I've been playing electronic music for like 5 years or so, although I used to play some synth a couple years back, so I've always kinda been into programming and playing electronic music. Got a background in piano (which I don't play anymore). Always liked the idea of mixing melodic synths with harder agressive material, and trying to make it seamless.

Industrial, Gothic Rock, Classical/Opera, Intelligent Techno, Noise, Ambient, Velvet Acid Christ, Skinny Puppy, Autechre, Aphex Twin, Elend, Wagner, Mozart, Howard Shore, Miles Davis.
