I'm Oliver Southgate, a singer/songwriter from Essex, Uk. My songs are a mixture of Rock, Country and Blues, but whatever style I'm playing it is all about the music. The songs are like little philosophy chunks on life as I see it.

Do you play live?

I play at open mic nights and solo gigs throughout Essex.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

It's so much easier to share the songs you've made with other people.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Favorite spot?

In my studio writing new songs.

Equipment used:

Cole Clark Fat Lady Acoustic Guitar and a Fender El Rio Acoustic guitar with a Marshall AS50 Amp and a Fender Telecaster with a Peavey Bandit amp. Cubase to record the songs with Alesis 16 track Multimix. Other instruments to look out for are a 12 string guitar, Spanish guitar, Djembe and Darbuka drums and harmonicas.
