My band is just me and my fiddle. I started learning to play after my 65th birthday, and I haven't had this much fun since I discovered girls. I don't consider myself a good fiddler, but be grateful, I ain't as bad as I was. The tunes put up on this site will be mostly old tunes selected for two reasons. First, because I like the tune, and second, I can play the tune at a level that it is recognizable.Band/artist history
This "operation" is new. My history is learning how to tune the fiddle and where to put the fingers.Have you performed in front of an audience?I play live every chance I get. I have played at Carver's Bluegrass Festival at Atlanta, Texas, The Strange Family Bluegrass Park in Texarkana, Texas, The Cypress Creek Bluegrass Festival in Adona, Arkansas, and various small time fiddle contests in Texas.
Your musical influences
I am influenced most by the "hillbilly" music of the 40's that I listened to in my youth. What equipment do you use?
I play fiddles made by W. W. "Skinny" Trammell of Lone Star, Texas. I have his first and twenty-third fiddles.Anything else?
This music is all about fun to me. I enjoy playing and listening to accoustic music, especially fiddle tunes.

I really enjoy listening to your playing! Amazing that you started at 65 and you're doing so well! You have a good sense of humor too. I just started playing a little while ago too at the age of 56. I've got some catching up to do.... I'm not very good but I really enjoy it too. I think that statement you made about tide rising is very true! Glad to make your acquaintance! Sweetmuseek
I listened to Whiskey Before Breakfast (and many others) and you keep a good beat - important for fiddle and dancing. Also, your accents are right on the mark. Decent! Keep it up! You'll bring many a smile to people's faces because of your good fiddle playing.
Hi, Bob- You play this tune with a great deal of feeling. You do good work. Keep it up.
Nice music you've made. Keep up the good work!
