Make My Day
Nievus is based in Dumfries & Galloway, Scotland, UK. The band is made up of Doug, Liam, Muriel and Peter, currently hunting for a decent drummer. Music is all original, written by Doug & Peter with contributing lyric writer Peter Farrell (of Mad Pierres fame) from Glasgow. The music melodic pop/rock. We have been likened to Fleetwood Mac and ELO!
Why this name?
This came from Hayley (Doug's daughter) whose granny called a little brown mark in her eye a neevus (dunno about the spelling) and it evolved.
Do you play live?
Yeah we play live. Village halls around D&G. First gig at Rhonehouse was awesome, but it was because we had rehearsed! Because of limited audience size gigs are only advertised in the local area and are always ticketed.
Your influences?
Many and varied from classical through to Bowie and ELO.
