Neall Alcott
I started playing guitar when I was around 14 or so. Expanded onto other instruments (piano/keys, bass, vocals) when playing in some bands.

I got into songwriting after delving into the Beatles catalog. At the time everything was 4 track. It was fun, but alot of work for so-so results.

I've recently got back into writing and recording and the ease and efficiency of recording with today's technology has blown me away.
Why this name?
Everybody asks about the two l's in my first name... I only have my parents to blame. Apparently it's an Old English spelling for Neal/Neil.
Do you play live?
Only privately.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It gives individuals an outlet to express themselves and if others enjoy it too, then that's great.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Not at this point. This is a hobby for my enjoyment and hopefully my friends and family too.
Your influences?
The Beatles, XTC, Michael Penn, Matthew Sweet, Tom Petty, Lindsay Buckingham, Adrian Belew
