Band/artist history
My Favorite Illness formed during the summer of 2001, when a band called Rampage broke up . Rampage guitarist Ian MacLeLLan, and Bass player/Singer Matt Kotarba, joined up with guiarist Ryan Slagle, and drummer Jared Reeves . After a few months, Slagle went on to form Conspiracy, and My Favorite Illness was a 3 piece . The band played some shows during the fall/winter of 2001, and Slagle joined the band again . They played more shows and recorded 'How to Tune A Vacuum Cleaner In Drop D' on December 7th, 2002...the band sold 50 copies, and destroyed it . During the spring of 2003, the band played more shows...pretty much all thru summer of the summer of 2003-winter, the band focused on writing more songs, and playing shows . During the spring of 2004, Smile Upon with Hatred was recorded . Later on, drummer Jared Reeves was replaced by Brett Sherman .
