VNM ( real name Viraj Manjrekar ), started rapping in 2007 but mostly songs of other artists. He grew up listening to artists like Eminem, Bone Thugs n Harmony, 2Pac, Immortal Technique. Later on Nas, Methodman, Krs 1,Dj Premier (after recommended by a crew mate Shinobi ). Influenced by the west he used to write and rap like them, kind of gangsta shits, blings and all. Later he met Ace and his crew, one of the oldest artists of Mumbai. Here it all changed, Ace introduce him to the underground scene in Mumbai, where he started battling, ( not won though ) but still not the whack, he learnt a lot from here. His topic of writing his rhymes was changed here and now he started to rhyme about social cause, reality, god, faith, truth and things which could spread a positive message to the people. Later on he met Kav - E ( Lester Cardoz ) his school friend where they battled and formed an unstable and unnamed crew. Soon as the crew formed VNM got a call from Shinobi/Ninja ( Sumeet Suvarna ) who came to know about him and his rap from one of thier mutual friend. Then the crew was formed includin VNM, Kav -E and Shinobi named "The Blacklisted People".
