I'm a Singer-Songwriter who loves playing live and recording demos on my Boss Micro-BR 4-track. My style is mainly acoustic, with some rock, psychedelia and blues thrown into the mix. My main aim though is to write great songs, no matter what the style. I'm always searching for that magic formula that makes songs like 'Wichita Lineman' such timeless classics. Maybe I'll get there oneday.
All the songs I post are predominately written and played by me, but I'm lucky to have worked with some great musical collaborators including Mike Fife, James Higgins, Marcelo Prive, Mike McGrath, Mark Ros, and Bodie Sickler. Thanks guys!

I'm also a member of the band Jemima's Kite, with James Higgins and Mike Fife (See 'Sound Stations' below).

Here Comes Another One!:
Another week, another album - 'THE VILLAGE THAT TIME FORGOT'. Well, it's probably better to write and record songs than sit around watching Jeremy Kyle whilst on State benefits. This one is almost entirely performed by me, and I'm covering guitars, vocals, bass, mandolin, slide guitar, and keyboards this time around. One song is even written and largely performed on mandolin, which is a first for me. The same song features a (great) guest performance on lead guitar from Mark Ros. The album is quite rock orientated - far more so than my usual fare. And there is a conceptual thread linking many of the tracks together.
There are 13 tracks: twelve originals and one cover (1972, written by J...

New Album - 'Call of the Wastrel':
If there's one good thing about redundancy, it's having shedloads of music time. So here's another album - 'Call of the Wastrel'. There's no particular concept behind this one, just 11 new and original tracks (selected cuts of which are on my music page). As usual, these were all recorded via Boss BR Micro digital 4-track. All tracks were written and produced by me. I'm covering vocals, guitars, keyboards, slide guitar and some bass. Mike Fife, as always, does a star turn with bass additions to selected tracks. Here is the track listing...
1.Primitive Man (3:43)
2.Armada of Wastrels (4:16)
3.Matching Luggage (3:53)
4.Frayed and Afraid (3:29)
5.The Hard Way (3:03)
6.Lady Diver (3:3...

New Album Finished - 'Greeny's Emporium':
Just finished my latest album - 'Greeny's Emporium' - written, recorded and mixed by me on my Boss BR-Micro digital 4-track, with various effects added in Audacity. I had 18 tracks to choose from in the end, before deciding on the final 14-track selection and running order, The tracks are very eclectic, ranging from acoustic and string-led ballads, to rock and full-on psychedelia. I'm on guitar, vocal, keyboard and selected bass duties; Mike Fife is doing his excellent bass thing on 3 tracks; and Gabe is doing a guest narration spot on the title track. All tracks recorded June - September 2009.
Track listing:
1.Outpouring (3:33)
2.Friends in Low Places (3:17)
3.Lapis Lazuli (3:...

About Gilliam, YES! Not necessarily a Monty Python fan (sorry, I know that's blasphemy in certain circles, including those in which many of my friends inhabit), but definitely a fan of his films!
I may have to sign up for "Yeti Spotters Monthly" indeed!
