Landry Butler, is an experimental visual and performance artist living in Nashville, Tenn. A keen observer of life, his genre-crossing work deals with themes of change, personal growth and self-actualization in a society that encourages alienation, fear and self-consumption.

Anomalous is the latest project from Butler. It was created in response to a post that went around Facebook in early 2009 imploring artists to "get excited and make things."

The 6-song/spoken word EP features frequent collaborators; the experimental jazz duo, 3 Pups Music and Adrian Rose (puppeteer and member of The Mattoid).

It is influenced as much by the DIY ethic of Jandek as by the chance operations of John Cage and the nonlinear dreamscapes of David Lynch.
