I was born into a Christian Family in a small town on the Banks of the Wabash River. My Father was a Pentecostal Minister, and had started a Storefront Church where he and my Mother were always ministering together in Word, Faith and in Song.

My brother and i naturally sang along. Smile

Soon the storefront was too small, so Building a Church had to be the next step in our lives. A bigger place to worship and praise God, and in all the building could hold for special meetings. Seems i was always singing in School Choirs and Church functions.

I was scared as a teenager to stand in front of hundreds of people to sing "specials" as we called the songs at that time.

Now I'm older and still get the shakes inside, lol, but love singing for the Lord.

My Father always told me not to sing for anyone, but to Sing for Jesus, and that i found was the way to do it for me. Just close my eyes, and sing away. Now, i do need a few words on paper. Smile. I just don't remember all of the words by heart anymore.

My Pastor has a God given ability plus his own diligence in studying Music, accomplished in playing the keyboard and other instruments. He sings very well and will accompany me in singing. He often tells of being raised in his Church, and performing a one man band. lol He may soon join this community.
