Way back in the last century, before I met hubby and had my 2 daughters, I used to write letters to friends all over the world, took photos on films, traveled all over Europe and enjoyed all musical events in our little town.
These days I exchange mails and comments via the Internet, take digital photos and share them (webshots.com), sometimes even little videos of events around my family and still love to go to concerts - this year I even traveled further than 50 km, after hiding at home for many years. We're still waiting for a lottery win to have a family holiday.
I love my PC because my friends live here and I find better music than at our local radio station.

Damals - im letzten Jahrhundert - als ich weder Ehemann noch 2 Töchter hatte, hatte ich viele Brieffreunde auf der ganzen Welt, habe ich viele Fotos auf Filmen gemacht, bin durch fast ganz Europa gereist und fand Spass an den Veranstaltungen in unserer kleinen Stadt.
Heute tausche ich mich per Mails und Kommentare im Internet aus, mache digitale Fotos und zeige sie der Welt (webshots.com) und halte Ereignisse meiner Familie auch auf kleinen Videos fest. Ich gehe immer noch gerne zu grossen und kleinen Konzerten und bin dieses Jahr dafür sogar weiter als nur 50 km gefahren, nachdem ich mich etliche Jahre zu Hause verkrochen habe. Wir warten immer noch auf einen Lottogewinn für einen Urlaub.

Medieval market on Castle Schaumburg
We always pass Castle Schaumburg when we go to Hess. Oldendorf, Rinteln or Bückeburg – but we never went to it. I guess we’re spoiled with all the castles around us. There were no posters or ads for the medieval market there in our area except a tiny report in our local paper on Saturday. But I had read about it on the web page of Duivelspack and could make plans to meet with a friend there.
I had to work for 10 hours without break on Friday with 5 more on Saturday, but I trusted that there were seats on the castle to give my feet a rest.
When I arrived I had to walk a little distance from my car to the castle and inside it went up very steep on co...

A new start!:
For 2 years I've blogged at Yahoo. After enjoying it for many months, yahoo started to act up and I've been looking for a substitute. Maybe this is the right place? It's great that I can add music and my favorite bands here, but I still have to learn my way around it.
2 Jahre lang habe ich bei Yahoo geblogt. Am Anfang hat es viel Spass gemacht, aber dann gab es andauernd Ausfälle und ich habe nach Ersatz gesucht. Vielleicht habe ich ihn jetzt und hier gefunden. Toll, dass man hier Musik einbinden kann und seine Lieblingsbands zeigen kann - wenn sie denn auch hier sind. Nun ja, es gibt noch viel zu lernen...

The German medieval band Dunkelschoen-musik.de is looking for a new guitar player:
Wie die meisten von Euch bereits mitbekommen haben, wird unser Gitarrist und langjähriger Weggefährte Björn zum Jahreswechsel bei uns ausscheiden um sich wieder mehr seinen eigenen Projekten widmen zu können.
So traurig, wie wir Anfangs über seine Entscheidung waren, so sehr haben wir uns darüber gefreut, dass er uns noch die laufende Saison auf der Bühne begleitet.
Und so lassen wir ihn denn mit mit einem weinenden und einem lachenden Auge ziehen...
...wohl wissend, dass sich manchmal Wege trennen und andere, neue wieder finden.
Auch wir werden weiterziehen und keinesfalls damit aufhören unsere dunkelschönen Klänge in die Welt zu tragen...
...und gespannten Blickes werden wir darauf harren, wer sich berufen fühlt, die sich auftuende Lücke zu schließen und an Björns Stelle zu treten!
