I played saxophone from grade school through about 11th grade. I then took a hiatus from playing for nearly 20 years.
I began playing again in 2001 after suffering a medical condition that effected my lung capacity. Playing has built back some of my lung support as well as provided a great outlet to relieve stress.
I currently play in a 9 piece group once or twice monthly at the Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo, CA.
I also now have a group call "Unfiltered Jazz"
Unfiltered Jazz is a group of Central Coast musicians who enjoy playing a variety of jazz standards, blues, and Latin tunes for your enjoyment.
Instrumentation can include saxophone, guitar, bass, piano and drums. We can play as a trio without drums for smaller venues or up to a full quintet, when called for.
We've had the privilege of playing at many of the wineries in the area as well as other local events. We'd be happy to help you with entertainment for your next event!
Feel free to contact us with booking opportunities or questions.
Thank you for visiting,
Glen Fairfield

Saxtrack,
My main axe is tenor and I'm playing a Yanagisawa T901 w/ a bronze neck, Jody Jazz HR* 9* and Java 3.5 reeds.
The recordings were done in my bedroo....errr I mean "studio" using a cheap AKG Perception 200 condenser mic connected through a Behringer UB802 mixing board and into an M-Audio FireWire Audiophile Digital Audio Interface.
My recording software is a program by PG Music called PowerTracks Pro. They also make Band in a Box, which I've used for some of the backings of my recordings.
