Based in Toronto, Canada, saintfrancis is comprised of vocalist/guitarist Francis McEwan and whoever else happens to show up. We breed shoegaze with a dash of pain and despair, providing an introspective and often mercurial gaze into things gone terribly wrong mixed with fleeting yet prominent moments of bliss and hope. Our sound is one of somewhat crushing intensity mixed with sparks of shimmering guitars and lyrical musings that often lend themselves to the seemingly obscure, yet contain meaning that is, more often than not, all too real.
The debut album "primordial" was released on September 6, 2008, and we are hard at work on the next album as well as rehearsing for live shows. Please return often for all the latest news and previews from our forthcoming release.
