New lower price for CD Album - The Last And The First:
Hi there, It seems as though I was a little over-zealous with my price for my CD album... (blame the credit crunch  !! I am therefore lowering the price of my album The Last And The First to $8.99 USD, (approx. £5.99 GBP). Musicians...:
I am interested in putting together a band. You can see many of my influences on my Last.fm profile (http://www.last.fm/user/RussSargeant). From a jazz perspective that would be the likes of e.s.t., Bobo Stenson Trio, Avishai Cohen, Jan Garbarek, Nils Petter Molvaer, Oregon, Weather Report etc., but I would also welcome more ambient, textural styles; influences such as Sigur Rós and Peter Gabriel.
I am primarily looking for a creative drummer/percussionist, pianist/keyboard player and guitarist. If interested and you live in or around the Birmingham area, please drop me a line and we can arrange to meet up for a jam. This would eventually be with a view to writing original material and wo...

"thanks" for your recent comment. that was a fun project to do. i like to try all different types of genres, so there will probably be another rock/funk oriented project somewhere in my future.

hey, wassup Russ. nice to hear from you.
actually, this week we've experienced a bit of spring-like weather here in the NY area. the temperature has been hovering around the 40s and 50s. i am sure that will only be temporary... but i will enjoy it while it lasts.
since you're about to leave SC... i guest i will have to visit you on Last.FM. have much success over there!

as for new music, i have a few ideas floating around in my head... but nothing that new that i have to add here, as yet.
