My name is Robin Clark Guthrie, a Native American flute player, musical artist, composer and writer. In 2005, music was just a childhood dream. Becoming a musical artist, composer, and writer was not something I thought would ever happen as my life took a very different path from my dream as a child to one of servant, healer, and nurse. Since I began playing the flute, I have been led back to my Native American ancestry. It has ignited the flame burning in my heart since I was young and has completed a cultural circle that my family drifted away from years ago. I was not brought up in or exposed to my Native American culture. Born and still residing in Halifax County, Virginia, I have always known of my ancestry and heritage but I had no real knowledge of the language, traditions, or various styles of Native American music. Once the flute entered my life, it was as if it had been in my hands and heart all my life. I play and sing for my Creator before all others and I am thankful that I get to share this gift with you.

JOURNEY WITHIN, my first CD, was released in 2006. MOTHER EARTH CRIES a single released in May of 2007. VISIONS, my 3rd CD, was released April 2008. January 2009, it was an honor and lot’s of fun recording for composer and musician John Catney, in his CD, THE RACER'S EDGE. In February 2010 another single was released, ON EAGLE WINDS. This lead to the release of PRAYER SONGS, a copulation of works that were prayer songs. Our group, Spirit Winds latest work was released January 2012, HALF MOON RISING and performed it LIVE at the WHITE HORSE in Black Mountain, NC.
A member in good standing of the International Native American Flute Association (INAFA) and Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI)....
