"Nothing goes by luck in composition. It allows of no tricks. The best you can write will be the best you are." - H. D. Thoreau
"I'm not trying to fit into a musical niche, I just write what I feel." While Richie's musical influences range from rock, folk, bluegrass, and celtic styles, he has grown his own organic sound. Thoughtful lyrics about relationships, love of wild places, and the search for spirituality are common in his tunes. "I'm just looking for some kind of balance in my life and my music has done that for me."

Hi Richie. I haven't visited your site in a while and that was my loss! "Mudcaked Knees" is a lot of fun, and "Huckleberry Boy" made me cry because it reminded me of a special young fellow I know who likes to linger on the lake and also enjoys playing piano. I hope you are sharing your talent with the multitudes. We need more of this good stuff floating on the airwaves. I wish you the best!

It would be a shame if you started a normal career -- with all your musical talent. You have the gift. I look forward to hearing more.
