Life moves on, so does my music. Many of my same-age friends are still stuck in the "golden rock" era. Just because my birthdate is 1952 doesn't mean my music is stuck in 197x. No "Goldie Oldie" radio stations for me.

I've always loved avant guard music. I liked electronica back in 1975 (Tangerine Dream, Froese, Schulze, etc), along with rock, classical, and celtic. I love the evolving music scene - all the genras of electronica, etc. But I'm not fond of country or gangsta-rap.

I play instruments badly but love to perform with music. I choreograph fireworks shows. Not the typical "Shoot fireworks while music is playing", but micro-choreographed shows -- using computer control systems and timed lifts so that shells break on beat ! Moreover, it's possible to use color and effect to build moods. Imagine the haunting melody of "Fur Elise" done with soft breaking, drooping willow shells echoing sliver glittery comets and rising fountains. Of course, the WWI song "Over There" can have arching comets on each refrain of "Over There", and at the end when it says "We won't be back until it's over over there" the comets can cross followed by a huge explosion of shells.

Of course I choreograph to alternative and electronica too!

I'm Assistant Chief for a Volunteer Fire Department, first responder, haz mat team, and county EMA team. I make fire to music, but I put fires out to the sound of sirens.
