I guess I have to admit I'm finally a senior citizen. But I don't think I feel like one. About five years ago I got very sick, very quickly. After several months of hospitalization I received liver and kidney transplants from a single donor. That absolutely saved my life. I was very close to check out time. While I was sick, I promised myself that if I somehow got out of that ordeal alive I would spend more time with my family and friends and also go back to doing some of the things I love, like music and photography. I did, and I very glad I did. Now, my friends and I have established a 501c3 public charity and raise money for transplant related causes through music and art. It's a blast and doing it makes life so much better for me.
