Title: The Path Of The Son
I’ve always loved music. I think it’s safe to say I have always loved Christian music, too. In fact, I can recall clapping hands and singing along to Ferlin Husky, and “Somebody Touched Me” as my father played it on the Hi-Fi ( That’s what they were really called, back then, because music wasn’t even “stereo” yet) in our living room.

Many many things changed over the years; Music changed, too, and a large portion of it was for the better. I moved on from my father’s “Gospel” records to Christian Rock Operas (Remember “Jesus Christ Superstar” and “GodSpell”?) and then to Contemporary Christian Music, trying to bring the word of God to the ears of the masses, and wandering dangerously close to the edge of slipping into “worldly” behavior in order to keep up those presentations.

In College, I was involved in the College radio program where we rented airtime on a local public station in San Jose, Ca. I saw a good many names come through there that are now gone with the times, but I knew music would continue to be an important influence in the lives of God’s people, just as David played and sang and danced to the Lord so long ago.

In the mid 1980’s I was working in a small Christian station near Tehachapi, CA, and it was there I became host of a weekly 8 hour program called "Gospel Music Roundup".

What Gospel Music Roundup is all about!: I love Gospel Music, I have made that pretty clear! But more than that, my page, my podcast, and my life are dedicated to promoting those others who love Gospel Music as well, and sing it for the glory of the Lord!
Keep your eye on these blogs, and I will update here when I post a new podcast... many with songs shared by singers I encountered right here on SoundClick.
Here are just a few links to recent shows that you are more than welcome to check out!

Crossing over; Our Graduation Day!: Dave Berland has once again taken a lyric that came to me a couple weeks ago, after the passing of a dear prayer warrior from my church, and transformed it into a truly warm and uplifting song called, "Graduation Day"
You see, when I had learned of this passing of one of the most concerned and loving people ever to grace our walls, the immediate thought that came to mind was, "WOW;. She had her Graduation Day!"
There is no joy as great as knowing that you will see someone who has moved on again, in heaven.
What is even more amazng is that I sent the lyric off to Dave Berland the morning I wrote it, and in the evening, he sent me back what he called, "The rough cut". Tears came to my ey...
My dreams come true with the help of my friends!: No, this is not about an old beatles song. This is about true friendship, commitment, and talent.
As many of you know, I am close friends with Dave Berland. I could almost say Best Friends, but that title is reserved for others in his life before me, like his wife, and others. Still, I have never known a man like him; Especially one so committed to spreading the Gospel in song!
In my radio days, I watched as Christian Music became more and more of a business than a ministry. This caused me great sadness, because I had seen so many great artists come forth with a servant's heart, willing to play to whomever would listen and share in praise.
Over the years since, I began to focus on s...

Hi Tom

It’s been some time since I announced any musical news on my page, but here I am.

Only this time the song is NOT composed by me and neither are the vocal work – but I’ sure that you can hear that.

The acoustic beauty is written and sunged by Claus A from Denmark whom I met at a Danish site similar to soundclick. I play the keys and a little acoustic guitar. I feel extremely priviliged that he allowed me to work with him on this song.

It is called “Streets” – and you can hear it here.: http://soundclick.com/share?songid=8061270

Claus has opened a site in here too: http://www.soundclick.com/members/default.cfm?member=clausa so please visit him and make him feel welcome.

Stay tuned

BestRegards
Lasse

Hi Tom

Last publication message from me in this round…

My new tune in The Circle Of Life project “Whitsunday” (which is next Sunday) is about the arrive of the holy spirit and Peters speech to the people, which are considered to be the birth of the church as we know it today.

Whit Sunday is the last tune timewise in the project, but 3 more will come, but not before Christmas.

As it is the last tune, I’ve managed to get almost everyone from the previous tune to bring in a contribution: Kevin Rosenberger on vocal, Morten Gjermundsen, Steven Belong, Paul Barny, Michael Duran on guitars, André Henriquez on violin, Jacob Bank on Orchestra. I have done drumwork, bass, rhythmguitar, acoustic guitar, synth and backing vocals.

The tune is slightly more progressive than the previous tunes, so if you like music like that, then allow me to invite you over.: http://soundclick.com/share?songid=7628911

Have a great Sunday.

BestRegards
Lasse

Hi Tom

The “title song” in my “Circle of Life Project” is the song telling the event on Ascension Day. The vocal on this one is performed amazingly by Kevin Rosenberger, Paul Barny plays the lead guitar, Dale Kaul plays the flute, Andrez Henriquez on violin, Michael Duran helped out with some SFX’s and I fill in the rest. http://soundclick.com/share?songid=7606518. This one is a very heartfelt ballad, so if you like then stop by, lean back and push play. Have a nice Ascension day on Thursday. I will return with the next tune (Whit Sunday) in around 10 days.

Enjoy
BestRegards
Lasse

Hi Tom

Tomorrow is Palm Sunday and time for the next tune in my project ”Circle of Life – the events of the holidays”. Like last year’s release “Easter”, I have invited some of the good guys to contribute.: Kevin Rosenberger is singing this in his own fantastic way, Paul Barny has given the theme guitar the feel and sound I couldn’t do myself, Steven Belong plays a nice close up guitarsolo, and Jacob Bank has arranged the orcestra for this one and Michael Duran found some nice sound effects for the intro and my niece Anne has added backing vocals and I take care of the “leftovers” . All in all a progressive/symphonic – some would say musical alike piece of music telling the event of Palmsunday. So – if you are curious, or if you just want to know what Palmsunday is all about, then feel free to drop by and listen to our release here.

P.S. Next Saturday we will release “Easter Morning Sun – almost with the same lineup, but also with Andre Enriquez on violin.

Hi Tom.

Here's an update from me:

This is actually a 25 years old song, now rerecorded featuring Kevin Rosenberger on vocal and the original cowriter Finn Frost on guitar (finnski).

So if you want a smell of 80's, then please feel free to stop by smile :)
