I'm a singer/songwriter from Southampton UK, my songs cover a broad spectrum of genre. Folk,Rock,Acoustic,Pop,Jazz and Country to name a few.
I started playing the flute classically at about seven years old, then I started on the piano writing music before my teenage years. My lyrics are about life and love, my own experiences and those of others.
The music and sound has been likened to that of Kate Bush, Joni Mitchel, Stevie Nicks and Joan Baez.
I have fronted and written for many bands. In 2004, I teamed-up with Dave and we started performing along the south coast as a duo, myself taking vocals and playing keyboards/ flute and Dave on electric and acoustic guitars. Now with Jerry on bass, and Pete on drums, we perform at many venues and festivals.
I have released three Ep's to date and am hoping to record a long awaited album as soon as possible, then a few more, and then some more... I have written a few songs to put it mildly

Recording at the university and Myspace:
We recently recorded some of my new songs and a cover for the students at Southampton university as part of their project a few weeks ago. It sounded really good and we all had a great time. We are eager to hear the results. The cover was of the Korgi's 'Learn Sometime' which we do a funky version of. The original song that I can't wait to hear is my new one 'Onwards And Upwards'. It is a bit different as its in 6/8 time, a bit melancholy but with a great bass line that Jerry plays and a syncopated drum beat from Pete.Oh and Dave with a great guitar riff.

We are sending you this message as you were listed as one of Mellosonic's friends here on SoundClick. You might have already heard, but we are sad to inform you that Chris J. Brown(aka Mellosonic) passed away on September 23rd. We were friends with Chris and found him a welcoming spirit. Last year we started an online band with Chris, "3Fuzed", and worked on several ideas that we are sharing with you now. I may be in the works of moving there but not sure....
