I'm your basic liberal happy goofy fun-loving guy, with an overactive imagination. I tend to be delighted by complexity in nature and in human interaction. I love social engineering. I'm open-minded. I debate for the fun of it. I like to take unrehearsed photographs at parties. Teaching is fun. If I can make someone smile, I'm that much happier for it. I love spending time outdoors and in the sun. I think a lot about mundane things. Isn't it weird how wind causes self-reinforcing waves on the water? If you close a pair of scissors so that both blades are moving 90% the speed of light, shouldn't the point where they meet be moving forward at a speed greater than that of light? Which has the evolutionary advantage, thorns or fruit? With the exponential growth of technology, what will computers be like in 10 years? What will people be like in 50? That's me!
