I am a singer/songwriter from the Pacific Northwest. My husband and I homeschool our two boys. I play and sing at a mid-week worship service, and am working on recording my first CD. I have been writing seriously now for about 4 years. In addition to those details, the most defining thing in my life is this:
I am a child of the MOST HIGH GOD! Adopted, because no one else would have accepted me and been able to love me bad as I was. I was surviving, but never happy, until I found out that all my ugly sins and past were erased when Jesus died to pay for them all! He has been like a healer to me in so many ways. My journey continues. Would you like to know how I got here from there? Email me, and I'll tell you all you want to know about that.

life is short:
Read an email yesterday
Told about a woman dying
Didn't know her, but read about her life anyway
Couldn't help but feel like crying
Life doesn't come with a guarantee.
This breath may well be our last
Death hits you like a speeding train
And life's over in a flash
I don't want to be satisfied
with the gains of this world
or the friends I have made
I want to tell everyone about Jesus
About who he was, and why He did what He did
Otherwise my life has been a waste
What does it matter if I ever see fame
No worldly honor compares to His name
And when I am dead what will I leave behind

It's colder in winter:
As I travel the road of raising a teenager, I am struck by how important it is to have a friend. Someone who knows you can make all the difference in your life-especially when the teen years are so confusing! Not every teen finds someone like that they can connect with. I'd like to meet that need for my kids, but I can't. My heart aches for the loneliness felt by a friendless teen. I pray that God will bring a best friend for each of my children, and that He will fill in the emptiness while they are waiting. Tears......

No. My nose isn't broken. I was just trying to be poetic. There, you've had your laugh for the day.
Don't you find it interesting how we are often afflicted by some suffering in the midst of times of joy? I also marvel that both can occupy our minds at the same time.
As I learn and grow, I have found the most difficult thing to be dwelling on the joy. Today, I'm broken. I went looking for my joy, but I'm so overwhelmed with the emotional stress, that I couldn't find any. Have you got any extra? Please send it to me. :-)

So glad you liked "January". Didn't you say your kids liked listening to the electonica songs? Glad you stopped by and listened. I'm heading back to the studio to continue working on worship songs this week. I'll let you know when they're up!
