Title: choose life - collaboration
The songs I posted here are basement tapes, recorded on a radio shack flat casette tape recorder, as well as collaborations with brilliant artists from dmusic, soundclick and myspace.

I was a singer/songwriter/guitarist for 35 years until a series of unfortunate events put me into a coma for 4 weeks, and had me in the hospital for 2 months.

I woke up as a quadraplegic. After 6 months in a rehabilitation hospital, I was able to regain some strength in my arms and hands, hold my head up and sit up without tipping over. I was left as a paraplegic, on oxygen, with irretractable pain in my coccys and feet.

After many attempts to sing, I had tests done which showed that I only had one vocal chord closing properly, thus, my singing career was over. After months of trying to play guitar the spasms in my arms and hands left my guitar career over, also..

I decided I can still write lyrics, and have partnered with some of the best talent over at DMusic, Myspace and here at Soundclick. These tracks kept music in my life when I thought I lost everything.

You'll be able to tell the difference between my basement tapes, and my writing collaborations. I invite you to contact me if you want to try a collaboration!

Make sure to go to dmusic.com for a great/live interaction musicians community, lending itself for solo, band and collaboration's.

peace---jd

New CD Release! : There's a lot of talent online at music communities on the web and more than a few of them are represented here on the
COVER ME CD. This is a project that has taken 3 years, and about 1000 years of experience to make. I don't want to talk up the CD too much because, well, after all, I wrote the songs (you can hear me perform them on my "BASEMENT TAPES" CD, but these are some fine covers. It's really a last hurrah for these songs as I am not able to perform them anymore, and I feel so honored that these friends became involved with the project.

Please join me in enjoying our friend's great work, and make an $8 (plus $1.25 postage) donation (by purchasing the cd) to the National Alliance...
Still Light Records releases The Basement Tapes: Welcome to the latest wave of rock my world so far! Hi Joyce

Tomorrow is December, and the elfs has already invaded my little studio and messed around with my instruments and cables – just like the previous years.
My two nieces, plus some of the finest soundclick artists has helped me creating some Christmas songs for you – a tradition we will hold on to – as long as there are Christmas songs to sing ?
SO – allow me to invite you over to listen to the old classic “The Christmas Song” featuring Anne on vocal, Jorgen on bass and Paul Barnes on sologuitar.: http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=9928265
There’s a few more in the pipeline which will be published later in December.
Ho – Ho - Ho
Lasse the elf.

Hi Joyce

Where I live we have so called Christmas lunches together with collegues on a Friday in December. This Friday is propably the biggest Christmas lunch-friday here. Lots of good food and party. So I can’t find any better tune for the occasion than this hardrock party version of Rocking around the Christmas tree.
Special guest: Bruce – also known as the swampman.

Hey,

I wanted to let you know that I just posted a new song that I think you will enjoy.
Not really very new though. It was written in 1847. LOL

It's an old Christmas standard.
O Holy Night (Cantique de Noel)

Or just click the pic. wink ;)

I hope I did the song justice. wink ;)

I'd appreciate it if you could give it a spin when you get a chance and let me know what you think.

Thanks for your support. smile :)
