The songs I posted here are basement tapes, recorded on a radio shack flat casette tape recorder, as well as collaborations with brilliant artists from dmusic, soundclick and myspace.
I was a singer/songwriter/guitarist for 35 years until a series of unfortunate events put me into a coma for 4 weeks, and had me in the hospital for 2 months.
I woke up as a quadraplegic. After 6 months in a rehabilitation hospital, I was able to regain some strength in my arms and hands, hold my head up and sit up without tipping over. I was left as a paraplegic, on oxygen, with irretractable pain in my coccys and feet.
After many attempts to sing, I had tests done which showed that I only had one vocal chord closing properly, thus, my singing career was over. After months of trying to play guitar the spasms in my arms and hands left my guitar career over, also..
I decided I can still write lyrics, and have partnered with some of the best talent over at DMusic, Myspace and here at Soundclick. These tracks kept music in my life when I thought I lost everything.
You'll be able to tell the difference between my basement tapes, and my writing collaborations. I invite you to contact me if you want to try a collaboration!
Make sure to go to dmusic.com for a great/live interaction musicians community, lending itself for solo, band and collaboration's.
peace---jd

New CD Release! :
There's a lot of talent online at music communities on the web and more than a few of them are represented here on the
COVER ME CD. This is a project that has taken 3 years, and about 1000 years of experience to make. I don't want to talk up the CD too much because, well, after all, I wrote the songs (you can hear me perform them on my "BASEMENT TAPES" CD, but these are some fine covers. It's really a last hurrah for these songs as I am not able to perform them anymore, and I feel so honored that these friends became involved with the project.
Please join me in enjoying our friend's great work, and make an $8 (plus $1.25 postage) donation (by purchasing the cd) to the National Alliance...

P.S. I had to seriously rush the song to get it posted for Halloween so don't expect perfection. I'm sure I'll wind up going back and working on this one in the future.

Hey,
How's it going? I've been pretty busy myself.
I wanted to let you know that I uploaded a new song called:
"Without You (Ballad of Dona)"
It's actually a previously unpublished song written by my brother Paul back in the 80's. Don't let the title fool you. It's not your everyday ballad.
I'd appreciate it if you could take it for a spin when you get a chance and let me know what you think.
http://soundclick.com/share?songid=8256877
I also have given "Slay the Dragon" a complete re-mix. If you liked it before I think you'll really like it now. Turned out pretty good if I do say so myself. I'd appreciate any feedback you can offer.
All of my songs have been recently re-mastered for more dynamic range and a less fatiguing sound. Hopefully this will result in a more pleasant listening experience for all.
More songs coming soon!
Thank you for your support.

We are sending you this message as you were listed as one of Mellosonic's friends here on SoundClick. You might have already heard, but we are sad to inform you that Chris J. Brown(aka Mellosonic) passed away on September 23rd. We were friends with Chris and found him a welcoming spirit. Last year we started an online band with Chris, "3Fuzed", and worked on several ideas that we are sharing with you now. We were planing on releasing this material at a later date, but our plans have been sadly changed. We have decided to post all our songs to SoundClick. Follow the link below where you can listen to our music and hear once again, how wonderful Mellosonic played his keyboards and how talented he was. --Bobby and Marc of 3Fuzed

Hi Joyce
It’s been some time since I announced any musical news on my page, but here I am.
Only this time the song is NOT composed by me and neither are the vocal work – but I’ sure that you can hear that.
The acoustic beauty is written and sunged by Claus A from Denmark whom I met at a Danish site similar to soundclick. I play the keys and a little acoustic guitar. I feel extremely priviliged that he allowed me to work with him on this song.
It is called “Streets” – and you can hear it here.: http://soundclick.com/share?songid=8061270
Claus has opened a site in here too: http://www.soundclick.com/members/default.cfm?member=clausa so please visit him and make him feel welcome.
Stay tuned
BestRegards
Lasse

Hello Joyce, great to see you in the manifistation of the peace sign again!! How have you been? Everything is fine at my end over here. So you are at the last stages of the CD? Awesome! Well, you can put in your info, I live in Pacific Beach, Washington. On the coast of Washington, near the rain forest. Not much else to say, but you could mention that my enjoyment of your original song Daddy's Dream was a vast inspiration on how the song turned out. Let me know where the CD can be aquired when you are through!!

Hi Joyce
Last publication message from me in this round…
My new tune in The Circle Of Life project “Whitsunday” (which is next Sunday) is about the arrive of the holy spirit and Peters speech to the people, which are considered to be the birth of the church as we know it today.
Whit Sunday is the last tune timewise in the project, but 3 more will come, but not before Christmas.
As it is the last tune, I’ve managed to get almost everyone from the previous tune to bring in a contribution: Kevin Rosenberger on vocal, Morten Gjermundsen, Steven Belong, Paul Barny, Michael Duran on guitars, André Henriquez on violin, Jacob Bank on Orchestra. I have done drumwork, bass, rhythmguitar, acoustic guitar, synth and backing vocals.
The tune is slightly more progressive than the previous tunes, so if you like music like that, then allow me to invite you over.: http://soundclick.com/share?songid=7628911
Have a great Sunday.
BestRegards
Lasse

Hey,
I just uploaded a brand new song called Saturday Night. This one is something a little different from me. No smoking guitar solo but plenty of other goodies. I think it turned out pretty good. I'd appreciate it if you would give it a spin when you get a chance and let me know what you think.

Hello Joyce. Just read your message. So, your CD is coming along? May be issued out soon? As far as info, just take it from the "Song Information" located in the Daddy's Dream Revisited song file. I believe I listed the credits correctly there. Let me know if you need anything else.
Your friend and fan,
Carlo
