I very much enjoy to watch a good concert DVD in sorround in our livingroom. There is a lot of good stuff in the stores, but there is also a LOT of CRAP ! So why not help each other by telling about our favorite concert DVD's here in this blog ?

So - don't wait - tell me what your favorite concert DVD's are and - if you have a link to youtube - add it too.

YAMAHA RBX250F - fretless bass - AND a close up view especially for Dale and Morten smile :)

Just stumbled over one of these in the blue paper. It's a yamaha RBX250F with one splitcoil pickup. It doesn't weigh much, but as usual yamaha has a certain quality even in their entry level guitars. I must say that I think I've done a pretty good purchase. Anyway - I wanted to test it, so I have added fretless bass to my instrumental tune "Moodswings Chapter One".

Nice to have the possibility to add that feel to some of the future tunes smile :)

Enjoy !!!

12/8: LAST PICTURES FROM OUR CONSTRUCTION !

Finally done - still need to put some stuff away though, but... we can live now smile :)

Now to the livingroom/dining room....

Hello friends and visitors.
I am currently in the middle of a rebuild of our appartment. A wall must come down, the old kitchen must be removed, floor must be levelled and a new kitchen must come up. Usually I would use my sparetime and the rainy days on playing, but I need all hands on deck to finish this work before the summer vacation sets in. I would hate to use my vacation on construction work. SO if I am not replying your messages right away it is not because I don't want to, but I am propably sitting somewhere boiling after a hard days work. I will offcourse stop by now and then and check what's going on. I will post some pictures along the way.

Enjoy !

BestRegards

Whit Sunday - Circle of Life
The Circle of Life-project was born after the Christmas Cover Competition 2007. I met a lot of nice people on the chatboard there and decided to try to gather some of these fellows for a collab and what could be more suitable than making a tune for the next holiday: Easter. That tune was released last year and then the idea was born. I decided to make a series of tunes which lyricwise should describe the event of the specific holiday and musicwise should support it the best way I could think of. Luckily Morten Gjermundsen who contributed with solo on Easter invited me to visit Judes Coconut Blues Club, and in there I heard Kevins incredible voice on the player and thought: Oh my If I in any way could get him to participate on my little project here, then I would be a VERY lucky man. And yes he joined The project.and Easter was released. Later on Palmsunday and Eastermorning Sun followed. These are the lineups:

Palmsunday: Vocal: Kevin Rosenberger, Backingvocals: Anne and Lasse, Theme guitar: Paul Barny, Leadguitar: Steven Belong, SFX's Michael Duran.

Easter: Vocal: Kevin, Backing vocals: Anne and Gry, Guitarsolo: Morten Gjermundsen, Guitar Synth: Michael Duran.

Easter morning Sun: Vocal: Kevin, Backing vocals: Anne and me, Introguitar: Steven Belong, Guitarsolo: Paul Barny, Violin: Andre Henriquez, SFX's: Michael Duran.

Ascension: Vocal: Kevin Rosenberger, Guitarsolo: Paul Barny, Flute: Dale Kaul, Violin: Andre? Henriquez, SFX: Michael Duran,

On all tunes: Drumwork, Bass, Piano/Synth, Rhythmguitar, Acoustic Guitar, Backinvocal.: Myself.

Note also that "The guiding Star" are mentioned here. That song is not yet written, but will be a christmas release in november/december 2009.

So a religious theme. Yes it is, but as my good friend Michael Duran says: This is also the greatest story ever written.

My deepest thanks to everyone who contributed to these tunes. Check them out, you won't be dissappointed. Also a big thanks to you who read this blog and maybe also listened to these tunes.

Happy Holidays !

BestRegards
Lasse

New tune : Beautiful Lady Blue (Lyrics: Jude Law)
About the collection: "Letters from Ekaterina".

This little collection of tunes are all composed over Jude Law's lyrics. All productions are nearly acoustic to make sure that the lyrics are in focus.

I have just finished song no. 4 on this little collection : "Beautiful Lady Blue".

Previous songs on the albums are: "Grace", "You are to Me" (featuring Barry Kettery on freetless) and "When I held you".

I really like her lyrics and thought they should have a proper introduction, so therefore this little blog/collection. If you have listened to the tunes, then don't forget to drop by Jude's famous Coconut Blues Club and send her a couple of words - it will be highly appreciated. You can find it HERE

I sincerelly hope you enjoy what you've heard here. We have putted a lot of effort into these tunes.

Enjoy !

BestRegards
Lasse

My old friend who I played with many hairs ago, has written this. It is called to you and is a tribute to Jeff Healey.

New tune feat. Carlos Carranza, Berry Kettery and Christian Jensen
This tune is written and sung by my old friend Christian Jensen. Carlos Carranza added a nice slide guitar to it, Berry Kettery plays the bass and I fill all the gaps. A nice pieceful tune of the last hours of a day, a life or whatever you want it to be. Enjoy

Celtic Tune - Thanks to all the great guys who contributed to this.
My very good friend Jude Law - owner of the The Coconut Blues Club " really likes the genre of celtic music, so together with Jacob Bank" I wrote "Breithla sona duit" as a birthday present. Several SC-musicians contributed to this tune which came out very lovely. For the same occassion I produced also a rockn'roller from a backingtrack made by Carlos Caranza. It's an honor working with all you guys.

Thanks to Jacob Bank, Morten Gjermundsen, Kevin Rosenberger, Carlos Caranza, Andre Henriquez, Svenni Bjorgvin, Paul Oakley, Michael Duran, Bobby Mack - and thank you Jude for getting us all together in your little club.

You can hear the tune Here"

Please remember also to visit Judes fantastic club

Jude has created this very nice video for our song "Grace"

Jude has created these wonderful lyrics and I got the pleasure to add the music to it. Grace came to life in only 5 hours so she really inspired me smile :) The song is very simple, neat and nearly pure acoustic.

Jude also created this very nice video for this song, and she allowed me to publish it in here too.

Visit Jude's Club here. Simply enter the message board and chat along with all the nice people in the

Enjoy - I hope you like what you see and hear

Back on my Own - remastered
Just bought myself a guitar for life. A Fender Stratocaster, Mexican build, but costumized model. Brilliant pickups and really a thrill playing it, so I decided to make a remaster of the song "Back On My Own". Organ, Piano and vocals are the same, but drums, bass and guitar have been remastered.

The overall sound of this "Mark Knoffler-alike" countrysong is very leaned back and .... well - smooth. Enjoy !

Circle of Life - The events of the holidays - easter
“CIRCLE OF LIFE – the events of the holidays”.

“EASTER” is the first song in this project and as you propably already have guessed, more songs will follow.

THE IDEA came from the Christmas Cover Competition 2007, where my version of Jinglebells went all the way to top 21. The finalists bonded a lot during December at the shoutbox, and when it was all over I kind of missed them, so I decided to write a song we could publish at the next holiday – Easter. I also worked hard to get as many of my new friends involved in the work as possible. I’m therefore very honoured that I am able to announce that 3 soundclick artists has contributed in this song as well as both my nieces.

THE GENRE is very different than my earlier work. I decided to work with emotions and instrumental parts more freely than earlier.

THE VOCAL isn’t really my thing, so I am SO thrilled that Kevin Rosenberger would make that. He certainly brought forward the emotions in this song. He has a fantastic voice.

THE SOLOPART of the song is lifted “far up and over the hills” by Morten Gjermundsen. He hitted bulls eye with that sound and theme.

THE END of the song needed a different feel, and Michael Duran came in with his guitar synth and made it happen. The song is nice and easily played to the end. Very nice work from Michael too.

THE BACKINGVOCALS joined the project in the very last minute. This song desperately called for backing vocals, and I am SO glad that both Anne and Gry drove all the way up here to give “Easter” the last touch of harmonies.

For my own part – well, I have programmed the drums, played the bass, keys, acoustic guitar and electric rhythm guitar and added a little backing vocal too. Either Anne or Gry have a their own profile here on soundclick, but if you will here more of , I can recommend that you listen to Anne’s vocal on the song “Back On My Own” on my artist page.Jonsson

and Gry’s vocal on the song “Whatever I said” on my artist page Jonsson

Kevin Rosenberger, Michael Duran and Morten Gjermundsen can be found here:

Several of the musicians who are performing on “Easter” are regular guests in Judes “Coconut Blues Club”. I’ts a nice place filled with nice people. You should check it out HERE

New project
Hey !
I'm still here, but working hard to finish an easter tune for you. It is REALLY difficult to make a lyric on that issue with few words, but the lyrics is done and the first premix has been made. Still a lot work to be done, but it is in progress all the time. I am quite confident that it will be ready for easter.

This time I get a little help from my friends :-) Michael Duran has recorded some nice celtic emotions for the ending, Morten Gjermundsen is working on the solopart and Kevin Rosenberger will take care of the vocal.Christiano from Mymusik will probably help out with some backing vocals as well as Anne and Gry hopefully will too.

"Easter" will be the first of many tunes that is build over the events of our seasonal holidays. The project is called "Circle of Life" and will be very different from the previous work. More symfonic/classic/progrssive. I really needed to make something where the emotions could expressed more freely than you can do it in the traditional pop/rock. I am very excited about this project.

Anyway - If you have read this, then thank you and blessings...

Best Regards
