My name is Jordana Jones, and I'm a singer/songwriter. I grew up in rural Southern Indiana, and now I live in beautiful Portland, Oregon.
Many of you know me as the female half of the duo Pheonix Rising, which garnered a #1 hit on the Pop/Rock charts on New Year's Day, 2007. That was a really awesome moment for me, and I thank you all for your support.
In Fall 2007, I formed an eclectic indie pop/rock band in the Portland area called Dawn's Darkness. We released a demo in fall 2007. This was really huge for me because not only did I write the songs, but I put together the band, produced, recorded and mixed down the music for the first time. It was a lot of work, and still not perfect, but very rewarding. Give us a listen and let me know what you think!
Since the Dawn's Darkness project ended, I've written many songs but haven't been actively recording. I've been primarily focused on pursuing my English degree and revising a novel that has generated some interest. I am sure that I will return to my first love, music, in time. |
