This is Jason X and I greet you in PEACE! Thank you for connecting with me through this page. I
I think in pictures, and it's hard for me to express myself using this limited language, but I try to do my best.
The Music is original Hip-Hop, which I produce using equipment I buy in local pawnshops. I try to get a FEELING more than a SOUND out of my instruments. I hope you can stretch your mind a little, and meet me where I am, while you listen.
I think there is a balance missing from what we hear in Hip-Hop today, so I try to bring some thought provoking lyrics into the realm.
Don't think it's a game. I'ts deadly serious business! Our culture is being misshapen by "people" who have no love for themselves, let alone (people of color) Black people. "They" have an agenda which is painfully clear in their politics and culture.
If my music is not allowed to reach those who would hear it, we would be led to believe our thoughts are ours alone. I know there is a growing number of conscious people who reject the forced culture inside urban America.
Those who have ears, let them hear;Jason X!
PEACE!

OUT with the old:
Let me be one of the first to wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I told you all that I would be away for a while, securing my family for what was to come. I dont think I would be of any use to you in the future knowing that I was not ready.
I will be launching JX2.0 soon. I would like to offer a small piece of advise for the new year.
The entire world wants us to be afraid of the future. The false financial crisis has us all wondering how we are going to make it. When someone wants you to look in one direction, it is your best interest to at least peek in the opposite direction, It may save your life.
They say, money (which has no real value) I say, LOVE (which means everything) Plea...

The Show!:
I don't have much time these days. I am sorry, because I love Sound Clickin'.
I wanted to share my thoughts on live shows. I blogged a while back on the political side of the circus but this is different. The live show is whats up. for the artist as well as their audience. When ever you can see a live show of art, go, and bring your "A" game.
The critical eye of the audience is essential for the performer to hone his or her craft to perfection. The give and take is unmatched in this world. Some describe it as "better than sex"! I have been on stage alot. I have been in the background as well as the featured artist.
No matter where I am, I can think back to my show and see myself throu...

Say it LOUD!:
...I have been in a funky mood lately. I guess it has something to do with my feelings of dread. I do have hope for the future, however, it comes and goes.
The Obama campaign is supposed to represent hope and change for people like me who have been left out of the dream. There are plenty of good people out there who are working their butts off for him to win the white house. I will not step in their way. My only hope is that the change they are working for, flows through the man into the Nation and the world.
We must look at ourselves. It is not always pretty. There is a Turkish proverb that says "The eye sees everything but itself." That could mean the "eye" or the "I" same thing to me. ...

The Language Trap.:
It is easy to be misunderstood. The fact that we can still communicate is a miracle. We speak, write, read and emote. The diversity of language is great even inside our own homes. The culprit in all of our mistakes is the use of the language. We have little tricks that we can use to hide or change the meaning of a phrase just by the emphasis placed on a word or sound.
English is interesting insofar as its intentional misdirection.
We know it (English) to be a bastardized language, made up from its roots in Latin and German. It is also known as one of the romance languages. We learn the mind of a person through their use of language. Words represent ideas. If you intend to lie, you need t...

Thanks, Nas:
I saw the cover of your latest C.D. I always suspected you were a Sound Clicker, now I am sure.
The next time you stop by my page, leave the lights on.
The community needs the support of high profile artists like you. We support your projects, why not support ours?
I believe there is room in the music business for everyone who has some breath of soul in them, to give what is left of the world a soundtrack!
PEACE! JX
