tobacco/cancer/and the old lift arm lighter: I bought an old lift arm cigarette lighter at a thrift store yesterday it cost me 1.98 it's old probably made in the 1920s or 30s it's not made of silver or anything it's just chrome plate even the name of the company that made it has flaked off the bottom all I can make out is the word fukara. well i got to thinking about it. how many smokes had it lit thousands? millions maybe?. then a thought crossed my mind how many people had it killed? how many people had gotten sick and died from smoking cigarettes it had lit for them? how many times was it sitting on the headboard or night stand next to somebody that was wheezing his or her last breath's wow ......

McDonalds: I eat at fast food joints all the time. I have for fifty years or more and I have noticed a strange phenomina when these companies start sweating the rent they start counting the napkins and just giving out one per person. weird to me but they do I just noticed mcdonalds in redding doing it. they took out the napkin dispenser by the soft drink machine and if you need a napkin you have to ask for one. taco bell did the same thing a few months ago. I like napkins myself lots of them. but what I see here is a way to monitor a companies health I mean before you buy stock in a company like these did they recently hide the napkins? maybe they aren't doin so well if they have to start misering the
