~Going to be recording in about a week! I'm really excited to get some tunes recorded, mixed and mastered! I just have to narrow it down to about 4 tunes for this round.....that's going to be tough, because my heart is close to all of these songs.~

~~~Update on December 3rd Fundraiser~~~
~Many people gathered and many musicians performed at the Fundraiser for Irene, the girl who was severely burned in the refinery explosion~ They raised a lot of moula, sold a lot of booze...around 70 cases of beer I heard. Lol! Thirsty people. There was a guitar there that Gordon Lightfoot autographed and donated! All the tickets were sold, and the place was packed! I had a great time performing! People there for the sake of wanting to help another, gave the place a very positive vibe. I talked to some friends, and met a lot of cool people. My heart is always into singing for a good cause~

Well here is a requested blog about the last gig that we had! November 19th on a Saturday night....It was a great night! We took the stage at about 10:30 and performed 3 sets of music. It was a mix of original songs and some of our favorite cover tunes! There were times that I lost myself in the music and forgot where I was....that is a magical feeling. There was one song where I tapped Bryans (lead guitar players) shoulder and stopped him from playing. I said to the audience that "I f***ed it up, so we had to start over! I heard laughter, so that was great. I don't take myself too seriously, I love to laugh. I completely love singing to people, so every night I get to do this is amazing! I definitely urge all of you out there that have a love of music, to go for it and do what you love to do! Life is short, so immerse yourself in your passion.

Five new mixes are up now for "Where You Stand," "Chasing Shadows," "Prayer For The One," "Fever" and "Twilight State." The songs are close to being ready for mastering. I'm pretty excited about that! I did however erase all the comments for "Where You Stand" by accident when I added the new mix....... OOPS! Live and learn I guess.

Have you ever had any strange or embarrasing circumstances happen to you during a performance? I've had my share, but most of all it just makes me laugh. I remember performing at an outside festival, and I could see there were clouds coming forth in the distance. We were introduced, the first chord on the lead guitar was strummed, I started to sing, and then BOOM! A light above my head made a loud popping sound and sparked! It then proceeded to rain! We had to postpone our performance for about 15 minutes. We ended up playing 3 songs, but it was memorable. I also have times where I get clumsy on stage. I once tripped on my bass players chord and the bass went flying into the railing that surrounded the stage. OOps. I also hit a drummer in the eye with his own drumsticks. How does this stuff happen???!!! I would love to hear from anyone that has any strange or funny performance stories to share. Please feel free to write.

Fever is one of the songs on our upcoming c.d. Have a listen if you like, it's on my soundclick page. I believe anything is possible, and that dreams are there waiting for us to follow. Fever is something that pertains to passion, in all of its' forms. Fever is expressing that if we don't let our passion or soul express itself, it will keep on knocking until we hear. Everyone has a gift to share, and life is short, so why not give to the world what is uniquely you?

The upcoming c.d. will be called Desire Finds You. Why? It's a lyric in one of the songs called Chasing Shadows that will be appearing on the c.d. I always write with a very open ended style. More in metaphors and creation of images within the music. I enjoy invoking intense feelings within a song. Desire Finds You is basically saying, that no matter what path we take in life, we will find why we are here on this earth. Our destiny will find us. It is also saying that sometimes when you follow your heart and face your true self or calling, you will meet with opposition sometimes, but the truth will always prevail.

Hi everyone, just dropping a line to say we're getting closer to finishing our 6 song ep titled Desire Finds You. It always takes longer than you plan, but that's ok, because it's a labour of love. I haven't put a blog up for awhile, so anyone that wants to say hello and talk about this, or anything else, drop me a line!
