Worked with Cubase, like it - but still do better with Tracktion
If you want to record, these days you need to get a very good sound editing program and or multitrack recorders (or have the money for studio time) - I guess everybody knows that.
Well for the past couple of years, I've been a Tracktion/Mackie user, I love the program and it is multifaceted and usually comes with a ton of effects and options. I had always heard of people using Cubase to make tunes, even back in the early 90s - but had never tried it. My poor RP5 finally bit the dust a few weeks ago -moment of silence- after the burial I went up to good ole Sam Ash and picked up a Zoom G2.1u guitar processor set (excellent piece of equipment, but nm) With it came a copy of Cubase (OEM) , within an hour I was up and running - I liked the ease of use, but the controls felt a bit imprecise at times - I will continue to experiment with it, but I'm keeping T2/3 handy just in case.
