fancyfingers2's SoundClick blog - the hissy spitters
the hissy spitters
were across the street in the neighbor's barn, just as we suspected. We were finally able to go check on Sat, as we knew she'd had the kittens and they weren't in OUR barn!! By now they are about 4 weeks old, and WILD!!! And so adorable, of course I went to touch one and got spit and growled at!! When will I learn?? But, we moved them into our barn and surrounded them with hay, and have been working on taming them up. She stays here now and watches over them on top of the bales. Sure, they look so cute and sweet- until you try TOUCHING them!! But, we have tamed kittens before. Their grandmother was a wild kitten my hubby found by the side of the road. The mom was teaching them to run from cars, and she always was road smart. She was all white, with one blue eye and one yellow eye. Her name was Snow. She died from cancer. Blizzard, the mom of the wild kittens, was her daughter. She has blue eyes. Then we have Polar Bear- another daughter, all white, with yellow eyes. Occasionally, the kittens are born with their grandmother's blue eye, yellow eye distinction. Snow was the best cat we ever had!!!
