Hello!

I'm Emma-O and I'm a musician involved in a lot of creative projects, musically and otherwise. I've played in a bunch of bands and projects over the past 12-15 years, but now I'm just into working on my own music and my own things. I'm pretty multi-faceted as far as the arts go.

I've released music under the name Emma-O, but I also have a solo project called The Gloom. On top of that I play in a psychedelic project called Dronica. We're guitar (plus effects) and accordion and we are pretty trippy! My friend Jaroslaw on accordion also plays for the Cowboy Junkies. Anyway, I grew up on punk, but I like and appreciate all kinds of music.

So yeah I guess you could say music is my life...actually all art is my life...I'm all about creativity and expression and being real.

I'm also an artist and published photographer and writer. I love Nature, the Earth and animals. Humans are kinda towards the bottom of my list of things that I like, just cause they have this annoying tendency to destroy anything beautiful. I'm a weird mix of punk rock chick, hippy Earth-lovin' flower child and ghoulish goth. I guess my music reflects all of that.

Updating yet again...: Hi y'all!
Just wanted to let you know that I've finally made the big move out of the big city and I'm all settled in now. I've been busy getting caught up on the huge backlog of work I gotta do,,,I'm getting there though,
I'll be adding a lot of blogs and articles I wrote and info and stuff to this page, so stay tuned!

Updating...: Hi all,
I just wanted to let you know that I'll be coming back to Soundclick more often to say hi and check out your music. I did the MySpace thing for a long time and have finally realized that it's a waste of time. It seems the smaller sites are more of a "scene". I'm in the middle of moving to another city, and can only get on the computer once a week, but I promise to pop in as much as I can!

Update on Emma-O: Well I have been very busy with my band THE JOHNNYS over the past 10 months orso. So we took July off to do things like go on vacation, renovate houses, etc. But a lot of exciting things have happened, and continue to happen. We recently released our 13-song debut CD titled, "I Like it A Lot", and we are also the featured band for Spirit Magazine's annual music issue. Spirit is Canada's national magazine for Aboriginal arts & culture. The issue, featuring Veronica Johnny on the cover, is on newsstands as I type this.

The Johnnys were also on the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN). Veronica Johnny and I were interviewed for the show "Entertainment Beat", which aired some time in ...
