I play guitars . . . electric, acoustic and bass. I also play rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing as best as I can . . . I record direct onto Adobe Audition 1.5 (formerly Cool Edit) from a Pod version 2.0.
All the music that I create by myself, goes by the name of Major Snagg, and the music I co-create with my musical collaborator, Tony Webster, is Big Sleep.
The Valiant B's section, is a secret dark corner for the music I find harder to put a label on ! Acoustic, Ambient and other 'experimental creations' live here.
The newest sub-section, 'Archive Avenue', is not a 'Band', but is a collection of my old Analog Recordings. All originally recorded onto my Fostex X-16, 4-track cassette machine. There's some history in there; Tracks from Silent Network (a group I was part of, in a former life . . . lol ), and other things from my musical past. My very own 'Blackmail Corner'

A Tribute to John Martyn:
"Spencer the Rover" is a favourite of mine by the saddly missed John Martyn. I hope you enjoy this wonderful song. I venture into Folk music now and again, and I must say, I've enjoyed covering this song. The guitar is tuned quite low, CGCFGC. all the instruments (and the mike) are routed through a Line 6 Pod (2.0). A great piece of kit.

Hey David,
Enjoyed that latest one a great deal, special stuff, please be sure to keep me posted on all your new tunes! Thanks so much for your visits, it's always super-cool to see you've been by, an honor. Gulf Stream temps still approaching the upper 50s, but unless we get some substancial pressure variants, or a big low riding up the east coast conditions remain hit or miss, often nearly flat to fairly sloppy. Tough getting out there unless there's a reason (usually for our "Noreasters") come mid-Winter, but the cozy feeling of attempting to warm up by the fire afterwards with a beverage definitely makes it worthwhile every time. Take good care my friend!

[last edited on Sat Nov 7, 2009 @ 01:47 PM] Hi David, great job on your latest, you and Tony definitely seem to "click" every time you get together - it comes across in the music, you both have a really good rapport. Feeling the pressure here a bit, got stacks of music to complete & not sure what to do first, lol! Been losing quite a bit of time this last week, got 2 physios sorting out my back (one private, one NHS), so I get double trouble - Why are all physios built like buffalos?...my, they're scary! I'll either not be able to move soon or I'll be cured...one or the other, Have a great weekend, Rodz

Thanks David,
'twas a saturday afternoon "oh crap, challenge is nearly due, break out the Malmsteen licks" type of deal
And I wasn't kidding in the comment, I really did wear a Silver Mohair suit to school (5" side vents, the works!), boy did I get some stick!!!
Hope all's good with you and there's "No cops at the door!", LOL!
