I decided to buy myself a guitar for my 40th birthday and have been hooked since. I've been firmly stuck in a pentatonic rut for most of that time but I'm still having fun. Started playing out last year with our band "Lost Cause". We all work together and do this just for fun. I also get to do lead vocals which I hadn't bargained on but I'm starting to get more comfortable in front of the mic. I grew up in England in the late 50's and 60's, now living in Canada, and my musical influences were all acquired there. Beatles, Stones, Clapton, Page, Hendrix, etc., etc. The usual list of characters. I have a real love for blues, especially electric "white boy" blues from Clapton all the way to Gary Moore.

I must give special thanks to the guys over at the Les Paul Forum Jamzone for putting up with a rookie and providing some excellent backing tracks. There are some killer players over there and they are always supportive and willing to take the time to listen to my lame efforts.
