daflyfresh09's SoundClick blog - When Confidence turns into Arrogance

I know alot of people are familar with Kanye West. Kanye West is a rapper who is also known for his arrogance in his music. Believe it or not, people are now trying to be like Kanye by being arrogant with what they do. Now, I know that it is good to be confident in what you do, but why arrogant? When I make my beats, I don't use arrogance at all. A confident person knows that people come with both strengths and weaknesses, and therefore is humble. (Arrogant person will not admit to his/her weaknesses)
Also, this shows that the arrogant person is insecure with themselves while the confident person shows self acceptance.
Confidence should never turn into arrogance. Do you agree? Explain why or why not please. Much luv.

	i don't think it should come to arrogance. I think confidence is key to success. Yet arrogance is just a sh*ty attitude. Like when I'm rockin a party and I meet my fans. I get to know those who approach me and i treat them fair. I remember one person told me that it's not how many awards and sh* you win or achieve. What people remember most is how you treat other people. You don't have to care what other people think about you. But people respect those who respect them. I would expect all my favorite artists to treat me fair as well. Cuz with an attitude like that, They would definitely lose me as a fan and probably get a diss track to them no matter how good they are.

	sup shawty, stop by cuz you asked. You commen along with your beatz. i like how you got that crunk feel in your sound and you got a lot of interesting vibes going on. I didnt find any thing i would rhyme to but I dont do dance beatz. I would say try and diversify your sound to all the coast and limit the use of your samples in the beats.. pick a producer from each coast and see if you can duplicate the vibe... Keep it moven shawty I was impressed. God bless.

	hey, sorry to kinda be off topic in a way, this is not to diss anybody or anything but when i was reading this, i had in mind this dude David E on sounclick.. he's exactly like how you describe now.....see i do music for myself, but each opinion is respected, I agree with what dude below had to say, the one with the baby it also depends on how you see things some people might call me arrogant but most wouldnt with that said, who gives f*** what a hater gotta say? lol

	Hey buddy. I feel the exact same as u!! Instead of arrogance tho, i call it acting or faking. They arent being who they really are coz they are only out 4 the benifets that comes with fame. 	I'm not to give you a lot to read but: I agree wit you on this. I don't think confidence leads to arrogance tho, I think it's just a choice. i do my music because it allows me to express myself in many ways. My goal is to help others (artists and producers) express themselves as best they can. as I improve, my expression only becomes that more powerful. I don't care whether or not everyone likes my music because my music is not for "everyone." I speak to those who listen. If don't want to listen to me, don't expect me to listen to you because I won't respond. My motto/sloga is "Progress si a Process," and what I mean by that is that it takes a lot move closer to a goal, and how you reach that goal will ultimately define who you are as a person. If you try to move along in life with an arrogant attitude, you will never learn fro your mistakes. Just my two cents.

	yo i'm definetly feelin what your saying an arrogant attitude keeps people from being able to learn or improve because they are basically saying i got it i'm all that but what they don't realize is that once you got it theres nowhere left for you to go. so yeah like you said you gotta keep that humble attitude.
