After separating from the USAF, I became an active musician in the Tucson, Arizona area from 1977 through 1992; I was a founding member of several Tucson, AZ bands. Who could ever forget (or remember) bands such as: SUNDOWN BAND; CACTUSLAND; STRAIGHTSHOT; CUSTOM COUNTRY; FIRE CREEK; PUEBLO STATION; and the fabulous SHADES! All genres of music were covered, as well as originals.
I've played in just about every parking lot, chili cook-off, bar, saloon, private club, Pima County Fair, and in no-name dives in town and all across S.E. Arizona. I had a great time doing several local live TV performances and the crowning glories were performances at the well known "Fame" school in Hollywood, Ca. (actually in Anaheim) and at the University of Arizona's Wild Cat Stadium as the closing act for the City of Tucson for the Welcome Home Desert Storm celebration in 1992. The stadium was really great as the sound was tremendous! Although I loved every minute of it, I stopped actively playing in 1992 to devote time to the family; and that was worth it too!! Thank you my lovely wife, Stella.
My most heartfelt and humble thanks to all the fans, friends, family and fellow musicians that supported these efforts over all those years....

Charity Show A Success!:
Clutch Draggin' & the Lug Nuts played out on November 15th to raise money & food donations for the Three Points & Picture Rocks Community Food Banks. Their show was a rockin' success and the guys had a great time! CactusAndy, Synchro, ArivacaCharlie and Dennis thank all that came out and helped support this benefit. We also would like to thank the event's co-sponsors, A&W Root Beer and the Westside Rides Car Club for letting us contribute to the cause.

One Week to Go!:
We're just about ready now for the classic car show and food bank charity show! The group has been steadily rehearsing and polishing the act and we're anxious to play out before a live audience. The setlist is nearly finalized, with 24 tunes and 6 alternates ready for the show. The weather should be good, as average temps for this time of year in Tucson average about 74 degrees F. Hope to see you there!

Thanksgiving Food Run/Cruise 11-15-09:
I've put together a little combo to perform for the local community food bank coming this November. We're going to call ourselves Clutch Draggin' and the Lug Nuts since it's a car club sponsored thing. Everyone in the general Tucson area is invited to attend. Please bring a couple of cans of food stuffs for donation to a worthy cause. This event will be located at the A&W at 6225 W. Ajo Highway. Come join us for free root beer, music and much more!

It's Starting to Happen!:
The new PA system is going to work beautifully! We've begun rehearsing for a charity show to be held in November and we're getting the tunes down. Drummer, Dennis, just got his new Ludwig set in last week and tomorrow we get to hear how they sound! Still looking for that elusive keyboard player, but have a potential candidate. So far we have about 40 songs on the setlist... and this isn't even the regular band I've been trying to develop. So far it's starting to come together just as planned!
