Aside from my work with the band GONE WILD, I am also a co-founder of Polar Music New Zealand, which was initially formed to release solo albums by my partner in crime the genius Rob Smith.
Over the course of time we have had many opportunities come our way with which we have formed many friendships and alliances with other creative minds (and also with people who have great taste in music obviously).
Our proudest achievements have been the release of both Rob Smith solo releases - Be Careful What You Wish For (2005) &
Actions Speak Louder Than Words (2006) and of course ......GONE WILD (2007)
Currently we are in the midst of our most creative year to date...with projects soon to be release including:
Rob Smith & Nils-Ole Finbak - "Atmospheres", for a long time i had wanted to work with someone with the piano-playing ability as our Nowergian pal Nilsy, couple that with Rob's vocal talents (and even some guitar in places) and you will hear some of our most heartfelt songs yet....showing that even though we are WILD boys we can still show we have hearts LOL
Carol Smith - "Tranquility", for me it is an honour to have co-written and also recorded with Carol in the past, helping out with this project is my way of giving back to someone who i deem to be a remarkable lady with a kind heart, and she always there to raise ones spirits when it is so well needed.
I have also been fortunate to have worked with various people on soundclick and hope do more soon.

GONE WILD II - OUT NOW:
Finally after 2 years of writing and recording - GONE WILD II has finally been released on 13th May 2009.
"GONE WILD II" is the double album follow-up to 2007's "GONE WILD" album. Comprosing 29 original songs this album packs more punch to its predecessor in places, whilst retaining the bands sound, GONE WILD have yet again tapped into their classic rock and blues roots and gotten back to shaking things up a bit.
GONE WILD are:
Rob Smith - Vocals, Guitars, Keyboards, Drums, Programming & Production
Richard Anderson - Lead Vocals
Matt Sturgess - Bass, Keyboards
Songs range from the blues tinged "Is It Real?" to the hard rockers "I Caught You Out" to the downright asskickers "Obliv...

GONE WILD - Bourbon Blues:
Hey Folks....
We thought it was high-time we unveiled a track from our upcoming follow-up album "GONE WILD II".
Given that we're in Summer-mode at the moment, I think you'll agree we chose an apt song for the season.
Special thanks go out to our pal Chris Szkup who provided some rather awesome (as always) string-benders there in the guitar swinging department, the perfect companion to Rob's guitar playing.
Any feedback would be most appreciated....and for those wanting to purchase our first album "GONE WILD", this is definitely still available (drop us a line and we'll hook you up)
"GONE WILD II" will be released either March or April 2009 (this ain't no Chinese Dem...

Special thanks to Lucretia Dorey who has helped out with the artwork for this collection, your help has been invaluable and we look forward to working with you on other projects in the near future (if you'll have us :-)

Hey,
I wanted to let you know that I just posted a new song that I think you will enjoy.
Not really very new though. It was written in 1847. LOL
It's an old Christmas standard.
O Holy Night (Cantique de Noel)

Or just click the pic.
I hope I did the song justice.
I'd appreciate it if you could give it a spin when you get a chance and let me know what you think.
Thanks for your support.

Happy Halloween!!!
Do you want to hear something really scary? Of course you do!
New song posted called "Swampman Coming".

P.S. I had to seriously rush the song to get it posted for Halloween so don't expect perfection. I'm sure I'll wind up going back and working on this one in the future.
Enjoy

Hey,
How's it going? I've been pretty busy myself.
I wanted to let you know that I uploaded a new song called:
"Without You (Ballad of Dona)"
It's actually a previously unpublished song written by my brother Paul back in the 80's. Don't let the title fool you. It's not your everyday ballad.
I'd appreciate it if you could take it for a spin when you get a chance and let me know what you think.
http://soundclick.com/share?songid=8256877
I also have given "Slay the Dragon" a complete re-mix. If you liked it before I think you'll really like it now. Turned out pretty good if I do say so myself. I'd appreciate any feedback you can offer.
All of my songs have been recently re-mastered for more dynamic range and a less fatiguing sound. Hopefully this will result in a more pleasant listening experience for all.
More songs coming soon!
Thank you for your support.
