I am a 49 year old beginning musician in Mt Plymouth Florida. I have been taking guitar and voice lessons since my 48th birthday in november of 2005, I am pretty happy to be able to make some music like sounds now and hope to continue to improve as time goes by. My music posted here isn't really something you would want to listen to unless you are just into listening to stuggling beginners trying to make music but I hope yoiu enjoy it on some level.

Go ahead and cry...:
Well, I wrote a song. It's way harder than it looks I think, at least it was for me. I got some great advice from several people and one was almost a challenge so I made it a goal and did this.
It's about my Granddaughter Ivy, she is 4 and out of all the grandkids she is the one that gets teary eyed the most often. In a big busy family this is a problem and of course it's also just a phase but she is struggling with it. I really don;t mind though. I adore her so much, we share the same birthday after all. I see her cry and all I want to do is hug her. Well, there's a song I guess. Nothing earth shattering, just a Grampa's observations and affirmations for one of his favorite peopl...

Tip that Waitress:
Well, this weeks song is "Tip That Waitress" by Loudon Wainwright III. My teacher says it's a must learn as it can have a very real effect on your tab when playing out...
This is a first attempt and as usual has it's share of poorly fingered chords and messed up lyrics, flat singing and so on. I will not be leaving this one up like this but sometime during the week will update the song with the current version. Hopefully in a week I will have it pretty much down.
This song is really here to get me to finally stop avoiding the barred F chord. The progression, if you want to play along, is C, Am, F, G, no capo. The Bridge is Em C, Em G...
Let me know what you think of the re...

Ivy and Grampa do :
Well, my Grand-baby Ivy, age 4, did some singing in the Barn with Grampa last night. It's a great song and I hope you guys like it! If it has moved off the front page please click on my artist page link to the left and then go to my Music. It's a such fun to make music with someone you love, give it a try!
BSR
We also added a song called this little light of mine by Ivy's Sister Amber! It's on my music page, Amber is 7 and she is also just cute as a button. In her song she was dancing and acting like a real performer while she sang it! I was wishing I had some video of it at the time. Check them both out and leave them a comment here if you like, they are both now hooked on musi...

A Sonar Experiment by "The Astonishing Ones"
