Songwriter, music nut, proud owner of a mohawk but not because my favourite band have them- they don't- performer, bass player and singer (in that order)
ahh life in the US, enjoying it more than my life in the UK but i miss my friends.
The first of the new- perhaps: I've a few blogs going online in various places, mostly other peoples places so I thought I try it out here. After all, it is my place. I want to try and make use of soundclick instead of that "Other" place. You know, the one where everybody goes but it never works properly, the toilets don't flush and the cokes gone flat..
I like the idea and layout of this soundclick place. It feels more comfortable and more relaxed than the filled to capacity sensations one gets from the other side..
Ho hum. Well, here we are, loads of my old songs, a couple of new ones- I'm currently transferring old Big Swell material from tape to digital so there'll be a whole bunch of older material up and running s...
Hi there and I hope you're well.
I thought you might like to know that, at last, there's a new track on my Garden of Surreal Dreams page which you might enjoy. 'Lost Children of Electroland' uses only instruments associated with children, plus vocals (all laced with effects).

INSTRUMENTS in order of appearance are:
2 kids toy Xylophones, 2 old wooden school Tambourines, Electronic Percussion (from the rhythm machine of a child's PortaSound), plastic toy Clarina, wooden Descant Recorder, plus Stylophone (the thing once made famous by Rolf Harris!).

There's a new abstract image to go with it, which I've created from my own photography and you can see a larger version in the slide-show on my member profile page.

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy the sounds from my inner space!

SEASONS GREETINGS to you and I wish you well for 2009.

I thought you might like to know that there's a new track on my GARDEN OF SURREAL DREAMS page which may interest you. 'Escape To Your Dreams Until Morning' is intended as a musical meditation with a little bit of an edge to it. I've used a variety of all-acoustic instruments which are processed with effects for atmosphere.

INSTRUMENTS in order of appearance are:
Tibetan Tingsha's, Tibetan Singing Bowl, Copper Goatbell Tri-cluster (from Sweden), Layered Choral Voices, Hammered 12-string Box Zither, Spoken Voice, Magic Mushroom Woodflute (hand carved by flute maker Blue Deer Spirit) and the Cello (after which, the Tibetan & Swedish hand percussion elements re-appear).

I've also created a new image for it, from my own original photography.

Thanks for reading and please feel free to give me your thoughts. I hope you enjoy the sounds from my inner space!
