Whitefish Special is Mike Doepker and myself, Doc. I'm a G.O.B.B. That's me; A "grouchy old biker bas***d" who loves to sit and pick. Some days I feel like an old chunk of coal that's been around for centuries. I'm not completely thrilled with getting older though I'm free to travel on my motorcycle and do the things I enjoy most. 60 years has gone by quickly and the future will be here before I know it.

I'm still waiting for Mike to make a post or something.

I was a combat medic in Vietnam from 1967-1968 (June to June). I've been called Doc ever since my first field dressing. The jungle experience was not lost on me and I couldn't possibly more grateful for being alive, having family, and friends to share my heart.

Mike is a guy ready to play at the drop of a hat. The one thing you really notice about him is his love for other musicians. He listens and shakes his head in impressed disbelief at times.

Plugged in: I've been doing a bit more on stage and darn if my Gibson doesn't sound sooooooo sweet plugged in. It's just like they say, "the Gibson Songwriter really brings out your voice".

Been playing in between sets mostly for a guy named Johnny Tatt. I'm beginning to like it more though I still feel folks deserve better than Doc.

A Biker and His Music: I ride motorcycles and play (at) guitar. I've always ridden motorcycles. Wish I could say the same for guitar playing. Maybe I would be a lot better. Still, I enjoy it. My friends enjoy it. My music page contains songs that have been written by yours truly; writing is another thing I enjoy.

My biggest fan is my wife. The best pay I've received from playing has been her smile.
