Hi to all my SC friends and fellow music artists! Just uploaded images from my art series, "Digital Mixed Media, Texture Series." I exhibited this series in a couple of virtual worlds with great success and plan to have these professionally printed soon. Though I did traditional artwork most of my life, I became very fond of digital work after experimenting years ago wihen I did a study on the computer of something I wanted to paint on canvas. To date, I have created three series. I did do many earlier digital works, which I am not including in these series. Most of the works in the first two series, I created when I was taking chemo about three four years ago. Interpretations from those who have viewed these works are: "...I see the joy you had when you were taking chemo," and "...how did you do it?..." and "...I didn't know you could get such texture in digital artwork." Well, the joy I had during chemo came through my faith in Christ Jesus. He was my strong tower during the entire process, of which I only took part of the chemotherapy my doctors recommended. In one of the virtual worlds I exhibited in, other artists' avatars would stand and peer at the works for a long time, studying them, wondering how I created them. Actually, I used a very inexpensive art program, but it most closely simulated the experience of creating with traditional media. Also, I created a tutorial online for this later.
