Guitar playing and composition are my major passions and I feel privileged to have the ability to convey my emotion in such a manner, now I'm not suggesting I'm any GOOD, I'm far from it, but I enjoy having such a powerful outlet.

I see music, both writing it and listening to it, as a form of escapism, and such I'm partial to conceptual pieces, bands and composers that can convey a story, movements, emotion in pieces hold a special place in my heart and I have written multiple conceptual pieces influenced by the likes of Coheed and Cambria, Opeth, Tool, Pink Floyd and countless others.

Because of this I find it difficult to generalise my music, I would not call myself a 'metal' guitarist, even though the music I'm currently writing draws influence from metal, nor would I call myself a 'blues' guitarist, even though the same can be said about that genre, I try and listen and draw influence from as many different genres, styles and composers as possible, again, it boils down to developing my emotional and conceptual 'tools' to the best of my ability, I have a lot to say and convey when I write music and I want to convey this to the best of my ability.

My music is my escapism, when I'm working on a song I try and totally remove myself from the real world and focus on the world I'm trying to covey, which means I very rarely have a clue what the f*** is going on around me and I like it like that

I will soon (October 2009) be taking a degree in Music Technology.
