Title: The Alchemist
Hello, my name is Ron Dadey.
Very nice to meet you...Thanks for stopping by for a listen. I won’t be writing my Bio in the third person like I see on a lot of pages out there. I think that comes off a little too self indulgent for my taste. I just want to share things about me that are relevant to what you hear on my page.
I was in several bands through the years out in the San Francisco Bay Area....”Nitro”, “Matriarch”, “RDG” (the “Ron Dadey Group”) and “Tourist” to name a few....We were what I call near misses in the 80's….back in the days of over saturation of very talented groups. Oh well…..Life takes its twists and turns…etc. etc. etc. I stepped away from the biz….a matter of self preservation at the time (the 80’s were a very wild time for me).
But that's not why I am here now. I had barely even touched a guitar for more than a decade up until around November 2006 when I felt the urge (more of a need) to get back into it...I went out and bought some gear and started recording whatever I felt like at the time...then threw it out on my page.
When I re-started playing again I had no idea whether anybody would like the music or not...my motives were more personal than that...it was more the need to play again! Once it’s in your blood…well you know the rest…… I'm just doing my own thing and enjoying life and playing and recording lots of stuff.
I hope you Enjoy!,
-Ron

Hey,

I wanted to let you know that I just posted a new song that I think you will enjoy.
Not really very new though. It was written in 1847. LOL

It's an old Christmas standard.
O Holy Night (Cantique de Noel)

Or just click the pic. wink ;)

I hope I did the song justice. wink ;)

I'd appreciate it if you could give it a spin when you get a chance and let me know what you think.

Thanks for your support. smile :)

Happy Halloween!!!

Do you want to hear something really scary? Of course you do! wink ;)
New song posted called "Swampman Coming".
Check it out when you get a chance but don't blame me for your nightmares!

Or just click my pic and visit my page to hear it.

P.S. I had to seriously rush the song to get it posted for Halloween so don't expect perfection. wink ;) I'm sure I'll wind up going back and working on this one in the future.
Enjoy

Hey,

How's it going? I've been pretty busy myself.

I wanted to let you know that I uploaded a new song called:
"Without You (Ballad of Dona)"
It's actually a previously unpublished song written by my brother Paul back in the 80's. Don't let the title fool you. It's not your everyday ballad. wink ;)
I'd appreciate it if you could take it for a spin when you get a chance and let me know what you think.

I also have given "Slay the Dragon" a complete re-mix. If you liked it before I think you'll really like it now. Turned out pretty good if I do say so myself. I'd appreciate any feedback you can offer.

All of my songs have been recently re-mastered for more dynamic range and a less fatiguing sound. Hopefully this will result in a more pleasant listening experience for all.

More songs coming soon! smile :)
Thank you for your support.

Hey,

Thanks for the friend request. Sorry it took me so long to get back to you.
I've been really busy lately and haven't had much time for the internet. I should be online pretty much everyday now.

Hey Ron,

Honored to added as friends, thanks. Your tunes are absolutely top shelf, amazing work. I also had been away from music for many years, was never talented, but had a hell of a lot of fun with friends in punk bands back in the 80s. Now it's just a fun little family hobby, keeps the kids away from watching the same shows over and over on the Disney Channel. Have a great 4th! smile :)

Ron...thank's for playing my music, your comment and the friend invite, like you i was out of the music scene for over 10 yrs, bought some gear and started playing and writing at home...then i discovered soundclick and it's great because at least you know others are able to listen to your music and your not just playing to yourself and when someone contacts you to say they like your sounds it makes it all worth while.
Like your style and your playing, look forward to hearing more from you - enjoy.
