a talk with an old pal got me the idea that reinvention was the way. the way to keep these cats from the disrespect. Cos it's been a long time coming, aint supposed to be fighting these battles anymore.
Being away from dudes is a prime opportunity, it may be a lot of things but more than that it's an opportunity. To start afresh, be what a dude always wanted to be. To change the definition of who i is, and what the mention of my name conjures.
I mean, i never been one to toot my own horn, never been one to brag, never been one to assert my self.
But i see that like Rapper MI said "if u dont, these nigs will be like u aint doing nothing". Why some dudes gotta get off of trying to put others down. i dont get it.
So that's why reinvention is the way forward. Sometimes u gotta do away with the nice guy act. sometimes u gotta "fight to be a man" like that country song said. sometimes like brand new heavies.
