Hi, No, my real name is not Spud (it is Vic actually), but I am from Mississippi and happen to live near an area that is one of the highest producers of potatoes (spuds) in ..or better known in these parts as 'taters, so I felt this would be a fun 'net name to use. I have a lot of country, gospel, Christian, blues, jazz, and some classic pop/rock influences that gets tangled up in my music. I even mix a little bluegrass pick'n in every once in awhile.
I have been goofing around with music for several years, doing a little writing here and there, doing demo work, playing sideman some for others, and a little studio work and would not know what to do with myself if I was not loading up to go play somewhere come weekend time.
I have a wife and 2 daughters, and 2 small companies, but still make time for some live play, a little writing and recording, ...and of course working with fellow musicians with the modest talent that the good Lord gave me.
