NIO-K & LASCO, twin brothers of Congolese origin, created in 2007 the group MAPASSA.
Influenced by artists such as BONE THUGS 'N HARMONY, Gregory ISAACS, UGK, BUSTA RHYMES, WU TANG CLAN, MAPASSA has developed his artistic universe around different musical sounds (dancehall, hip hop, reggae, African music…)
Complicity and the alliance of artistic identities are now the particularity of the group.
The texts are inspired by real facts and memories experienced during childhood as the war. That is why the words "Help yourself first and heaven help you" represents MAPASSA.
